With great sadness and heartfelt respect, we announce the passing of Judy Sharples (née Moylan), who died on Tuesday, 5th May at the age of 62. Her passing has left family, friends, and the wider community of Redcar in deep mourning as they come together to honor and remember a truly beloved woman.

Judy is being remembered as a wonderful lady whose warmth, kindness, and presence touched the lives of many. She was dearly loved by her family and friends, who describe her as someone who brought comfort, care, and sincerity into every relationship she held. Her loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those closest to Judy reflect on a life filled with love and connection. She was a cherished family member whose devotion and care for her loved ones remained constant throughout her life. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she supported, laughed with, and stood beside through life’s many moments.

Judy’s funeral service will take place on Thursday, 28th May at 11:30 a.m. at Coatham Memorial Hall, Coatham Road, Redcar. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects, with a request that attendees wear formal black funeral attire in her honor. Following the service, loved ones are invited to remain for light refreshments and to share memories celebrating her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly requested donations to ICU2 at The James Cook University Hospital, a gesture that reflects Judy’s spirit of care and compassion for others.

As the community gathers to say goodbye, there is a shared understanding that while Judy is no longer physically present, her memory will continue to live on through the stories, love, and moments she leaves behind.
